I usually say that if you could have a conversation with anyone for a few hours or read a book about anyone’s life story, it would be one of the most compelling, heart breaking, heartwarming stories you’ve ever heard, full of twists and turns, ups and downs, and everything in between. Everyone’s life is a story that deserves to be heard, observed and related to with meaning and reflection. In other words, everyone has incredible value and should never feel valueless. Everyone including you. It is not all for nothing.
Anyone who would ever say it doesn’t mean anything can tell you themselves how they got to the point of saying this if they ever opened up, and there is likely extreme hurt and disaffection. I can’t say that is all it is, but every child is born bright-eyed and full of hope. If it’s been robbed, it should be labeled that way and the individual should never feel that no one cares because we as human beings are not made to disregard one another. We care. We may find it difficult to find someone who will listen to us but it takes courage to press on, believing that there is something for us.

We know in our minds how immeasurably impactful human contact is, but we shy away when we find someone to be ‘someone else’s problem’. Nobody is anyone’s problem. We may not be equipped and it’s okay not to place yourself in harm’s way, but to feel as though we don’t insult our own selves by labeling someone an outcast is a mistake. Not everyone may be able to do this at any given time but if it were possible to place yourself in their shoes you may find your original self to be a monster.
We’re not made this way.
If salvation is the children’s bread, it is important to admit that you’re hungry. If you are new to Christianity, you may not know you have access to the buffet of Heaven which Jesus brought us. We’re not born knowing and we will never fully understand The Spirit of God, but this is what enables us to consume the bread, and all we have to do is ask. It is good that we must conform to and acquiesce to God because if He bent towards us He would not be God, and nothing will ever be without God. In other words and if you are new, if a teacher in a classroom does something for one child they have to do it for every other child (all of which have different desires) and then things become chaotic; as well as if you are seeking God it means you are desiring order. The Good News is that God is restoring order throughout redemptive history and if you feel stuck between good and evil, it’s important to remember that not everyone wants order.

This is why it is paramount for us in our spirit not to hold on to anything that interrupts the flow of your relationship with God; we forget that God comes with everything you will ever truly want if you want peace, so trust is necessary for Him to allow you to have any good thing. Again if you are new, ask yourself if you love your earthly father or mother (or if you don’t know them then anyone who you love in truth) for what they can do for you rather than who they are.
Sometimes it doesn’t matter. If you need a coffee, it doesn’t matter who the barista is. If a child needs to confide an adult at school than it matters who the teacher is but there may be more than one teacher they trust. But when it comes to life and everything you need, a child needs a parent. At the ultimate truth of this line of thought there is God.
He burns for you to understand this but again He cannot coax you with anything but The Truth which is found in his call because He would not be God, and as said before, this is Good. It is good to allow yourself to be absorbed into His will and he will show you what He wants for you. His wisdom, righteousness and integrity prevents Him from telling you before this because this would not be good and if something is not good, it is not of God.
Until next time, take care.
