The Lord cares for you like no one else. We rarely think about how safe we have to be in order to rest at all, let alone in a dream. We as humans whether in a secular or spiritual context, have no idea what is really happening during this time. We as believers can attest to receiving messages in a dream, nightmares (read, Demonic Assault, as one believes) and I’ve heard many anecdotes of and have experienced myself both praying in dreams and banishing what evil & what entities I/we’ve encountered.
So, if we know we can be attacked, obedient, and can be the recipient of revelation in a dream, when are we more cared for than in a dream? I raise this topic because we worry about ourselves and others mercilessly while believing in a God that believes in Mercy; in fact, a God that extends mercy from generation to generation to those who fear him. The exhortation from this line of thought is that, if we can trust him in a dream (where conceivably anything can happen, as the sensations prevail) then why not trust him in real life? I don’t doubt that a worldly cynicism may be creeping in right now; after all it’s not the nightmare that kills us. But consider that, such as we need sleep and therefore never fear sleep, we need to live as well and therefore….we should never fear to live.
It’s the gap, the ellipsis after the second ‘therefore’ that I’m speaking to in this post. We are easily fooled in a spiritual sense. Our savior is called Shepard for a reason; we can absolutely venture into the spiritual realm but without Jesus, we submit ourselves to the mercy of one who professedly seeks to destroy us, one who is powerful enough to seduce those that would feel as though they would be well without God.

The Sacred Heart
Jesus
Basically if Our Savior was revealed in a dream, thereby making them sacred, and many of us have had our lives changed after a dream because we believe we may have received a message, we should never fear living towards our full potential. If we are sure he’s there caring for us and gently impressing upon us eternal truths, then this should be the way we live in real life. In fact, it should be an encouragement.
Time moves differently in waking life and the lies we encounter are well more sustained, however the Truth is the same everywhere throughout the Cosmos. We will struggle but we must maintain that God is with us and is on our side. He knows we care about the people around us but we still need to align ourselves with the Truth; that we have a Spirit of Love, Power and a sound Mind. In this post, I encourage you (and me! – I’m not above anything I say) to reserve all fear for God himself, and the Truth of Love, Power and Sound Mindedness will reside with us as we espouse the Mind of Christ. For now, take care.
